In 2012 Reasonable Cause held a criminal CLE / CPD conference on 15-16 September to raise funds for the Afghanistan Women’s Empowerment and Education Program via the Indigo Foundation. As a result, a net profit of $7,347-10 was forwarded to that charity.
The funds are to be used in providing scholarships to young Afghani women who would otherwise face significant barriers to university education. The program grants scholarships to women attending Gawarshad Institute of Higher Education in Kabul. Scholarship recipients study for degree qualifications in law, economics or political science.
